Subject: Special Vanagon List price on 1.9l Air Boot
Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1
Almost every 1.9l Vanagon (83.5-85) that I have seen has an intake air boot
that is starting to deteriorate or has already cracked. This is the boot
between the air flow meter and the throttle body and has two smaller hoses
going into it. Normally folks patch theirs because the only source is the
dealer and the list price on these is $72.95. However I came across a
supplier that is getting the VW ones but at a much cheaper price. I would
like to offer those boots to the list members who might want them first at a
much lower price than what the public is going to see. Vanagon list member
price would be $49. This is almost half of their normal price. If you
think you might need to replace this boot in the near future now would be
the time to buy one. I have a few but I don't know if I can get any more at
this low price. The part number for this part is 025129967A. If you order
it through the webstore just be sure to put a note that you are a Vanagon
list member and I will change the price for you.
Thanks,
Ken Wilford
