Before recently ³upgrading² our Canadian stovetop (no drain pan) to the Americanized version (drain pan), we used to stop the rattling using a thin plastic cutting board (called a Chop Chop) between the grill and the lid. The Chop Chop, of course, doubled as a cutting board once camp had been made. These handy devices are widely available in kitchen stores ‹ I have two in my home as well! Since the upgrade, we find we have no more rattling problems, but we still store our Chop Chop in the same position for convenience sake. -- Katherine Maas, MA, CPCC KJ Maas Associates Ltd.
