Hi Jon --
I would not worry too much about the difficulty. I wish I knew how the
carb mounting is set up, culd give a better estimate. The bottom line
is that the FI system inside the engine compartment is really pretty
simple, especially the fuel part. We're talking really simple! Fuel
injectors, cold start valve, pressure regulator, steel fuel lines,
and hoses gluing the whole mess together.
The biggest pain of working on the standard FI setup is when you have to
pull the the intake manifold stuff in order to get to the bits
underneath the air distribution box. Even if you take your time, label
everything you disassemble, place fasteners in bags, etc... we're still
only talking an hour or so!
Don't psych yourself out ;)
