I just know you WBX perfectionists are going to really hate me now!
But here goes...

As most of you have gathered from my threads, Inga's #4 piston rings are
leaking (compression 105) and this is what has been keeping me from passing
smog at idle. Can't I just pull the head, then the wet sleeve for #4 and
ring the one piston, in the van? I know, I know, once I have it apart it'll
take two seconds to do the other, but that's never the case in my
experience.
I have never worked on a WBX and don't want to do anything I don't have to
at this point, for various reasons. The other cylinders are just fine, we
can leave them alone.

Anyway, has anyone done this? Any suggestions, straight and to the point.
Frankly the easiest, simplest procedure is best here. Is there a past List
topic covering this issue?
