Subject: Coolant guage(?) problem; possible overheating
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

The last few days of hot Portland OR drive time weather has caused my temp gauge to peg out at the right side. Slight faint blinking of the red light.

The fluid level is at the normal range at the max or a little less. This happens when sitting at a long, long stop i.e. traffic.

One curious thing is the gauge in the morning starts at the right vice the left.

The fan will not turn on if at all until at extreme right.

I have no idea if I am overtemping. I suspect a faulty temp gauge and possible thermostat. If the temp is less that low 80s outside all is good. I am not sure if I have properly bleed the system, ect.

Any advise?
