Subject: manual tranny fluid change
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone knew when your soppossed to change the tranny fluid in a standard? I got the bus in Feb, and it appears from all the reciepts that are with it, that no one's ever changed it. Is it needed? Is changing it as simple as removing the fill and drain, draining, and refilling. And how do you know when it's full? Another thing, is there a such thing on buses as clutch or stick shift fluid too. I didin't think there was, but thought I would ask anyways. In the colder, or wet weather I noticed that the stick is difficult to shift, especially into 2nd. It goes in fine, but shifting is harder until it gets warm. Is that normal? Thats why I thought that maybe there was stick shift fluid.

Sorry I'm sure that these are pretty dumb questions, I did check the archives, but I've never had a standard before, and never expierenced this stuff before.

thanx,

Tracy
