I had a potential buyer for my Westy last weekend and I installed all new FI and fuel line hoses in the engine compartment. Although the existing lines were less than a year old they already showed signs of surface splitting. Just out of curiosity I returned to Pep Boys Auto to day and opened the Gates Hose display only to find out that every reel of hose was made in china and was NO NAME. That is where the cracked hose came from and where I bought more hose the other day. I'm currently replacing all the FI and Fuel Hoses again with Goodyear hose that I bought this AM at NAPA. This Paranoid Maintenance Syndrome is eating my lunch today.
