Hello from Atlanta, Ga. I do not own a shop press, but I sure would have liked one when I recently replaced my lower Vanagon ball joints. I did all the work to remove the knuckle, had OEM new ball joints to go in them, and I ended up bringing the two knuckles and two new ball joints to a local VW shop in Decatur to have them pressed out and in....Cost: $100.00 Labor. I do have a welder, and do use it to do a multitude of things, but no press..... Hope this helps!

Regards, Mike Nichols 2--'81's
