Since you mentioned Pep Boys ... I recently had an interesting conversation with a grey haired clerk in one of their stores. She has worked for "Manny, Moe & Jack" since the 50's and knew one of them, the one that came to California to set up the chain here (don't remember which). She surprised me by saying the chain had really gone down hill since the sons took over. Of course, I don't have any way of knowing if what she said is true. But if so, it's sad because I've dealt with them for going on 50 years.

Anyone else have opinions re Pep Boys or better alternatives for that type of store?
