Folks, A couple list members & myself are interested in indentifing AC Companies that can provide a Front/Dash AC solution for our Circa 1985 - 1990 Westy & Syncro Vans. Since moving to Arizona 1 mnth ago ... its apparent that the rear AC is enough to keep one alive .... but that's about it. If anyone has a Front AC Install ..... please give us feedback on its performance and details. If you know of companies that can provide a solution, please let us know. Also, if you have specific questions you would like us to ask of companies we contact, please send them to me. I will add to our current question list. So far I have identified Arizona Mobile Air Inc.(Phoenix, AZ) & European Cooler Air, Inc. (Rockwall, TX ) as two potential sources. I have been in email contact with European Cooler Air, Inc. www.europeancoolerair.com Here a quote I got from them. "THE COST FOR THE 16,000 BTU EVAPORATOR ASSEMBLE WITH ALL PARTS TO HOOK IT UP TO THE OEM SYSTEM IS $650.00 THE TIME TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM IS 5 HOURS." "YES, I CAN DO THE INSTALLATION, I WILL HAVE TO CHARGE YOU TAX, 6.75% FOR PARTS ONLY AND THE (FREON ABOUT $25.00)EXTRA. SO THE TOTAL COST WOULD BE. $650.00 PARTS $ 25.00 FREON $ 43.86 TAX $ 300.00 LABOR $1018.86 TOTAL Phone: 972-722-3791 jwest@europeancoolerair.com" It's my intent to call them next week and speak about the install and parts in more detail. Right now the specifics are fuzzy. This morning I sent Arizona Mobile Air Inc an inquiry email. When we are done with this inquiry I'll summarize the results and publish to the list.
