Hey list, Just put in new Brake fluid to fix mushy clutch. Bubbly brown junk came out of the slave cylinder. New Pedal is firm and shifting is smooth. One question: My manual says DOT 3 so the first bottle I bought was DOT 3/4 compliant The second bottle (all the hardware store had) was DOT 3. I noticed when I screwed the cap back on the reservoir that it said DOT 4 only. Anybody know If I should replace the DOT3 woth another bottle of DOT4? I have kept it ready to bleed (tube on slave, dash cover off) Am trying the archive, but its running slow, and I have to finish quick. Direct replies appreciated. Peter and Zippy. VW85westy@aol.com |
