I know this is going to sound strange but here goes. I've had my hands on about six near dead Westies and Vanagon air-cooled vans. In each case I ran my Marvel Mystery Oil treatment in the engines and it unstuck the lifters, cleaned the piston tops, combustion chambers, washed that crud out of the ring lands and freed up the rings and removed all that sludge from the crank case. It never fixed the dropped valve seats .............. oh rats. In every case I saw better compression on all cylinders. Its just a matter of getting the engine up to running temps about ten times or driving 300 miles and you'll see results. I'm not familiar with Restore but just thickening the oil is a short term fix.
