Well, I had a weird thing happen yesterday, my dash lights failed. What I think happened is, I took a ferry across the Mississippi for fun and a big wave splashed into my van (my windows were open). Got it a bit wet inside, but I just continued on my trip. Well, later last night, I finally turned on my lights and all of a sudden a ton of smoke started pouring out of the dash board -- around the instrument cluster and from the vent controls. I immediatly turned off the lights and pulled into a parking lot and carefully tried it again. This time, no smoke and the dash lights worked but only for a few seconds. Now my dash lights do not work (but my heatlights work without anything smoking). Any ideas? I'm thinking that perhaps the switch somehow got fried. I checked the fuses and they all look OK (but I'm not 100% sure which fuse is responsible for the dash lights). Thanks for any ideas, Blake 84 Westy St Louis |
