My post didn't work so I'll summarize my thoughts.... A rear Vanagon heater stripped down and submerged in a small water tank with a 12v pump controled by a simple on/off switch. A two way valve, position one sends water from the tank back into the tank (circulates the water, heats it up across the heat exchanger), position two sends the heated water to the shower head. Might work but I imagine a water to water heat exchanger would be more efficient and more resistant to corrosion. Anybody tried this or similiar? -john
