I have learned the same lesson a few years ago, as yourself, ONCE. Now,
when ever I am sellingsomething (unless it is someone i have dealt with in
the past) it is money to me first and your stuff will go out. If you need
it in a hurry paypal is fine..........................

Fellow listies
More then two months ago I sold some window vents thru the Vanagon list to a
person named Cary Chiang
( I do not know if Cary is a woman or a man ) who lives at 12304 Bedrock
Trail in Austin Texas , 78727.
Evidently Cary has somehow misunderstood the price of a set of window vents
I sold her or him. I have tried to e Cary at both his or her p mail and on
the Vanagon site and suggested that we cancel the whole deal rather than
have any bad feelings about anything. I suggested that she or he return my
vents and I will return the $ 5.00 for shipping. I cannot get any response
what so ever from this person and this has been going on now for over 2
months.
I paid $ 49.95 plus shipping for the vents to Eurocampers two weeks prior
to our agreement. Cary asked me to ship them and she or he would see if they
would be ok, and if they were a check for the purchase price would follow .
Cary sent me $ 5.00 for shipping, has received the vents 6 or 7 weeks ago.
When I did ask for the $$$ that were owed on the vents the reply was that
the
$ 5.00 was the only cost involved .The actual cost of the vents to Cary was
either $20.00 or $ 25. 00.
I told him or her that $ 20.00 would be fine .
I think this might be a cheap lesson for me and a lesson for everyone else
on the list. DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL THE FUNDS FOR WHATEVER
IT IS THAT YOU MIGHT BE SELLING.........
Cary if you read this and choose to send me the balance owed that will be
fine. If you want your $ 5.00 for shipping
returned then return my vents.
If you decide either way I will post it on the list..
clarence.
