Don't waste your money or risk the damage that can occure.

Dupont, the manufacturer of Teflon, tested for all kinds of ways in which it could be used, including in motor lubricants. Or course, they wanted to sell it for any and all viable uses. Their test results showed there is no way to keep PTFE in suspension. It will always settle out if given a few days time. Consequently, they advised it should not be used for this purpose, and refused to sell it for that use. Slick 50 and the other manufactures of Teflon additives must get there PTFE from the jobber market, cause Dupont won't sell it to them directly.

This is the reason EVERY automotive manufacturer says additives will void your warranty, unless the additive is specifically called for in their service manuals or advisories. Amonst all the Euro marks that I service, only three come to mind. Mercedes approves of Liqui-Moly (Lubri-Moly in USA) diesel anti-gel additive and Diesel Purge for their diesels. Jaguars approves Bardahl anti-leak additive for their cooling systems, and many (including VWOA) approve of Techron for gas FI system maintenance, but only infrequently, not all the time.
