Yes, I have owned a Mehler side tent for several years (and owned another Mehler tent before that). Both were brought to the U.S. individually by Germans prior to my buying them, and were not commercially sold in the U.S. If Mehler is still in business I am not aware of it. However, the Mehler tents I have seen are not all that different from the modern aftermarket side tents that are currently sold in the U.S. by me and Steve Lashley. The newer of the two I owned allowed two sides to roll up to form an awning of sorts; the earlier version was similar but only allowed one side to roll up, and was slightly smaller. Both lacked floors (as do most modern van side tents from Europe).
