Hi Guys,


I am having problems with my charging system. I have a Tiico. I put in a stereo amplifier. I added a 2nd battery for the amp & to run accessories. After about 2 months, the primary battery died. It was oldish, so I put in a new battery. It died in about 1 month. I tried a different 2nd battery relay to see if that would help & it did not. At that point I disconnected all 2nd battery wiring & removed all traces of the set up. I tried a new Bosch alternator & it didn't help. When hooked to a diagnostic tool, it says that my battery is recieving about 12 volts at idle with no load & about 9 with a load. The alternator checks out as good, voltage regulator & all & the battery is still new & shows no problems.


Any ideas where my problem might be? I had no problems until I hooked up the 2nd battery, but now that it's out, I'm still having the problems. Luckilly I have 2 batteries. I just try to keep them both charged & swap them out when one dies. HHHHEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!
