Can someone tell me what that strange tongue on the trailing arm is for? It sticks out where the trailing arm pivots(inner bottom bushing area) Its got roughly a 3/4" hole in it and faces towards the front of van.

it cant be for traction bars thats for sure!:)

Can I cut them off?? reason Im asking is becouse it looks as though it might bump into my rear sway bar brackets that im installing..
