VW - £75 each 'quote from VW parts department Aftermarket spares - £25 each

AT VW's prices I think to build a whole Syncro from new parts would cost about $1,000,000 ish as I see the gearbox listed in EKTA at £5,500 - are we talking Porsche prices for everything they sell? Are they mad, or just want us off the road?
