Hi all, I use the Coleman Powercat in my westy (RVC) as well as a weber grill. Both use the disposable propane cylinders.

Once upon a time, I met a fellow who had been refilling the same set of these for about 10 years, with no issues. I am aware of the stiff federal penalties for "transporting if refilled", but am wondering if there's really a good reason for this, or if the gov't/Coleman is just pulling a CYA for the occasional idiot who overfills and blows himself/herself up?

If this isn't a completely asinine thing to do, can anyone tell me: 1--what fittings, etc. would be needed to use a 5 or so lb. tank to refill from 2--how to know when the cylinders are full
