I don't know what made me do this, the wine? fatigue? ennui? but while I was putting things back together in my van after my San Diego trip I ended up polishing the metal table supports.

I believe later Westies have these supports painted, but on mine they are bare metal (plated) and were a bit scuffed and stained. So I took a green followed by a grey Scotchbrite pad and some soapy water and gave it a rub-down.

Then I waxed them (home made carnuba/beeswax/turpentine mix I use in woodworking) so they gleamed.

Alistair
