I bought one from Ken at Van-Again last spring for $25.00 plus shipping.
Here is the message from Ken:

Tom, I have the rubber line.  The part number is 251 721 477D and I have
these for $25 if you need one.  The steel line I don't have but at least
this
solves one of your problems.

Hi All:

Looking for a source (other than VW) for the hydraulic hose that
connects the metal clutch lines between the frame and the on transaxle,
going to the clutch slave cylinder. This is for an 82 Vanagon, VW part #
251-721-477 D. It has special ends on it to allow it to fit on the metal
supports using metal clips so it does not look as if hydraulic brake
line will work.

Camelback VW dealership wants $58.00 (without shipping) and I have
looked at Bus Boys, Bus Depot, Vanagain, VolksCafe, and California
Imports, and have not found the item. Any other suggestions for an
alternate source or solution?
