Hello and good morning Terry K.

In my correspondence with Cary Chaing he made it sound like he was keeping the vents for himself, not reselling them. Now I understand why he asked me if I still had the box.

In his list letter to me he suggests a large disagreement between us, I would think the correct way to resolve that disagreement would be to go back to square one, he send me back my vents and I send him back his $5. 00, does that sound unreasonable ..?

In his note he stated that we were communicating quite well with p mail.I do not remember him ever using p mail, his letters to me were all via the list. In Cary's ending statement he says " since I can no longer trust our correspondence to be private." All of his correspondence to me were via the list and never private...

He talks about defending ones character on the list. You cannot defend what is undefendable and if a person deals honorable with others they would never have to defend their character.

The list however regardless of how this transaction turns out is a good thing and I believe that most of it's members are honorable, and yes like Cary stated the list can form their own judgments about the quality of everyone's honor, honesty and character..

To end this saga I will quote what a friend once told me about doing business with some people. He said, " It's ok to do business with a snake as long as you remember that you are dealing with a snake".

The matter is now over and closed, and I have learned a lesson about doing business with Cary Chaing from Austin TX.

Regards to all. Clarence. Pinehurst, NC. 1990 westy.
