Jerry:

Ojo Caliente hot springs N of Espanola (and Bandelier) is a great place to spend a day or part of a day. Bandelier has a nice NPS campground. I've heard good things (or read them) about Jemez hot springs, but have no direct knowledge.

There are some campgrounds between Taos and Cimarron. Near Taos there are FS campgrounds and near Cimarron is a state park.

There is an open hot springs on the banks of the Rio Grande N of Taos near Arroyo Seco. You turn off the highway, drive down to the river, cross it and then park at the first switchback on the W side. The hot spring is S along the river about 200+ yards. (Disclaimer: I haven't been there in several years.)

NE of Raton, NM, is Sugar Bush state park with a campground.
