Hey Ben,

You've got a pretty good idea going of what to see already, but I would also add in checking out some of the 14ers out there. One that is very close to the sand dunes is Mt. Blanca, I believe. Climbed it about 10 years ago - nothing like being 14,000 feet up high - you can see the whole divide from on top. Of course, its a pretty long, tiring hike, but if you're able-bodied its worth it. I lived in Co. Springs and Boulder, so more familiar with those areas - but you're in for a treat where you are going. Now I'm out east (sigh), have fun!

Hi all, We're going to take a couple of weeks and drive around CO, see some of the things we've always intended to see. We're thinking (not necessarily in this order): Glenwood Springs, Dinosaur NM, Grand Junction wineries, Telluride, Mesa Verde, Sand Dunes NM, Royal Gorge.

So, any and all input is requested, i.e. favorite nice roads to drive, good and/or free campgrounds, good books on CO, other things in the western part of the state we should see, etc.

Thanks, and talk to you soon, bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...."Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com
