Been there quite a few times, both as a child and an adult. My recommendations would be:

1. The Museum near the harbor, always something wonderful to see. 2. Fort Rod Hill Park, west of Victoria proper, probably a bus route that serves it. A nice place to spend a quiet afternoon learning some history. 3. Mt. Douglas just north of town, great views of the area.

I'm not taking my Vanagon (obligatory content) since the Clipper goes up there so often and economically, and the Canadian border crossing is such a pain these days, we've decided to buzz up there for a couple days, and poke around a bit

Anything besides that that we should try to hit?
