I have run into some confusion in the Bentley manual as to which mark on the crankshaft pulley is TDC--the V notch closest to the case or the U notch on rim farthest from the case. Seems pretty clear in the ignition section of Bentley that the V notch is where you set the timing at 2500rpm with temp II disconnect but in the engine section under Ignition distributor installing, page 13.39 the white arrow in the picture is pointing to the V groove as TDC. Are the instructions on page 13.39 incorrect?

So On the 2.1L is TDC the U groove on pulley?
