I've been so embarrassed to drive my Vanagon Westy to the local VW events. I felt that I should have a Splittie with enough rust to impress the old timers. Since I'm sitting on five Type IV engines and I just picked up a complete engine with all of the sheet metal and exhaust systems from a running 78 van, I have a feeling that the engine will be the first thing to go from the 67. As for Olive oil .......... they've changed their business over to Vaseline to accommodate the changing economy.
