I replace my pads and shoes myself, using all the supplied "parts", especially the anti-squeak one's. Then, I drive up a big local canyon, get going 50-60 mph coming down, and brake hard. I do this several times and it seems to break-in the new pads nicely. By the way, I clean the rotors and drums with alcohol to get rid of the influence of the last pads and shoes. All this seems to work for me. Bob Stevens '87 Syncro Westy http://groups.msn.com/BobsPhotoShare
