The oil plug for the 2.1 L engine has M14x1.5 threads and VDO sells a 300 degree oil temperature sender (Model #: 323 055, # on sender: 801/4/35) with those threads. I've used a sender for years and it fits nicely. However, to tighten and remove, you have to use a thin wall socket. The easiest way is to simply sacrifice a six-point socket by grinding the thickness of the wall until it will fit in the unmodified drain hole area. Check here for a complete listing of VDO senders: http://www.hotrodsusa.com/buynow/manufactures/vdo/online%20catalogs/performance%20catalog/Perf%20Cat%20HTML/perf%20cat%20senders%20frames.html What is the model number of the sender you have, Kevin? |
