Clarence and all:
I once had the opportunity to buy some parts from Mr, Chiang, though I
was able to do it in person on a trip to Austin. I met him at his self
storage unit, and was somewhat amused at his stories about how he move
all his stuff from one site to another every 3 months, each time getting
free rent for the first 3 months. I wondered how long you could do this
in Austin, obviously for a pretty long time. Cary had quite a collection
of vanagon parts and thought very highly of them as reflected by the
prices he was asking. I bought a couple items from him, they were of
fair quality, if not pricey, but I was not going to have to pay shipping
so I felt like I came out ok.
I think Clarence's conclusions may be appropriate, I hope Cary can see
fit to start thing over from the beginning on this one.
