I am not a contractor just a driver. My boss however has his own rules. We dont do AAA lockouts, cause AAA doesnt pay enough. We wont tow you to our shop for free, UNLESS, you get the work done at our shop, and you can be sure they add it back in. We wont get you off-road. We wont take AAA for accidents, nor will we take it for arrests. We wont town unregistered cars. All these things AAA says they will do, but MOST contractors wont. Simly because AAA pays so little, they pay like 15% of what we charge cash. So be ware, and carry cash, and AAA will not reimburse you in my experience. My suggestion is to carry AAA plus, and if that doesnt work call around local mom and pop shops, their cash rates seem to be the best, some even $20.00 plus $1 a mile, which is really fair. (THANK GOD I CANT QUIT MY PART TIME TOW TRUCK DRIVING JOB TOMORROW, IT STINKS!) :) Matt
