I want to thank those of you who replied to my wife's driver in distress posting last week (recall needing a starter in Taos NM). I found a rebuilt Bosch starter in a place called Metric Motors. He had it in stock too! Make sure you keep that place in mind if you run into problems in Taos.

The replacement went well too. Did the swap in the Walmart parking lot just up the road from Metric. It took just under an hour. Gotta love that store. They let you sleep in your car on their lot as well as work on it when times get tough.

I have a few parts left over from my Tiico installation last May. If interested pmail me. All parts are from a '88 Vanagon GL

Digifant ECU $75 plus shipping AFU $30 plus shipping Headers (good and solid, no rust) plus cross over pipes $30 plus shipping

All parts are located in St. Louis MO.
