I think it is a squealing noise, very sharp. My townhouse to the street is
about 50 feet. I only need to apply light pressure to the brake to stop in
front of the street and it squeal. I then drive about 35 mph and press
moderately on the brake to stop in front of the traffic light, and there is
no noise. After driving for a while, the brake will be fine. So it was the
light contact between the pad and the disc in cool morning that produce the
noise.
I live in Houston, TX, temperature in the garage is about 80 degree in the
morning. Noise occurs in fine days, humidity usually around 60-80%.

Fonni,

The brake pads are the same for Westies and busses. You posting did not
indicated what type of noise you are hearing from the brakes when you start
in the morning. Is it a grinding, squealing, clunking, thumping or ????

You also need to indicate weather conditions (that is temperature).
Temperature extremes can make brakes and many other car parts behave
abnormally especially brakes.
