Sorry Gary, but it doesn't necessarily work that way, in the real world. There has been plenty of research and marketing surveys that indicate a person with a negative experience, is 7 to 10 times more likely to tell others about it, than a person with a positive experience is to give a compliment. I'm sure Ron, Ken, or anyone else with extensive customer service experience (if they really wanted to get mixed up in this mess) would verify that. Also, people tend to remember and believe the first thing they hear, and discount any later corrections or retractions. its just human nature. Besides, I've sold maybe 3-4 items this whole year. How do I know if those buyers are reading list mail, want to get involved, or are even still on the list? I don't. All it takes is one person, who can't or won't substantiate his claims, to slander another. It's alot more work for the person who has been crapped on, to tell his side, or prove his innocence. And how many people are going to bother to read it, or remember the end result? Not nearly as many who read the original rant (repeated over & over & over), that's for sure.
