New seal.

The original has steel (duh, it rusts into nothing, VW!) clips. Eventually, after years in the air and the rain, the little clips go to be with Jesus, and the little lambs, and harps and clouds.

Newer aftermarket seals have clips made of al-LOO-nee-um, which cannot rust. $50 bucks at FLLV for the pop-top seal. Make sure you ask for ones with al-LOO-nee-um clips. It's s'more for the leaf-&-acorn collection bucket seal up front, and the flat, goes-across-the-top seal.

But not the last, I'm sure, as I deal with my new-to-me '82 Westfalia...

When I put up the pop-top the seal around the edge of the pop-up sags for several feet in various places. I can't see what's to keep this seal in place, unless I'm supposed to use some sort of glue or sealer. The seal itself is flexible and supple.

What's the "cure" for this problem?
