Long reply just got eaten by the "The application Mozilla has unexpectedly quit" monster.

Summation: Delrin AF is what we used to keep the suspension on racecars for moving in unexpected directions. It's been twenty years since I built racecars. Plastics have improved. Call your local plastics supplier and ask to speak with an application engineer. With his/her help, select that correct engineered plastic for the application. A good place to start is <http://plastics.dupont.com>.

Polyurethane might be the correct selection, or it might be the Bosch 009 solution. There may be many reasons why polyurethane is being used to commercially manufacture suspension bushings. Ease of molding springs immediately to mind. Keep tha manufacturing costs down. In the case of a one-off or limited production run this may not be part of the equation. The application engineer is the expert.
