I'm not exactly sure what you did. Did you just apply the JB Weld around the points where the gasket was leaking? This does not sound like a very permanent fix. I and others on this list have used JB Weld to repair pits in the surface of the head after removing and cleaning it. One listee reported 8 years of trouble free operation after doing this. I don't know what the experience of others has been.

I just completed my first road test of any consequence with my Westy following my head repair job. I drove it down to the Great Plains Star Party -- about a 2 hour drive one way, much of which was on interstate at speeds between 60 and 70 mph. So far so good!
