Subject: What parts to carry on the road...
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

So my clutch replacement experience - getting stuck in Yosemite, 50 miles from the nearest parts store which doesn't carry parts in stock - makes me think that it might be wise, with all the back-country driving I do - to carry some spare parts for backup on long trips. Not that carrying an entire engine is really practical or realistic, but there probably are some things more worthwhile to carry. As of now I carry plugs and belts and filters and fluids and tools and thought you all could help me make more efficient use of the space under the back seat.

What do you all keep in your vans? Anybody have any suggestions for the ultimate road repair kit that would fit under the back seat?
