Rather than try to reinvent the wheel, why not use something designed to do
the job? If you want your injectors cleaned, use some injector cleaner.

I think that the cost argument is pretty thin. Injector cleaner doesn't cost
that much. I would argue that no one needs to ever buy a hammer. Rocks,
bricks, and hunks of metal can all be used to drive nails or other stubborn
objects, but ask any good mechanic about his tools. Just about any job is
easier, faster, and safer with the right tools.

Can you use diesel fuel? Probably, but I don't know. Should you? I wouldn't.
If I wanted my injectors cleaned I would buy something designed to clean
injectors: injector cleaner.
