Ten days ago I mentioned a battery operated portable shower available from a large outdoor outfitter based in Nebraska. I ordered it and it arrived quickly. Good part, because I wanted it before I leave on a camping trip in my '90 Westy. Now the bad. It was missing the hanger and suction cup for hanging the shower head. No big deal as I wasn't planning to hang it anyway. The shower head is the typical personal shower with on/off. On to the first test. It uses 4 D cells and you really need good fresh ones to get the pump spinning to move the water. The next test, the collapsible clear vinyl bucket. IT LEAKS! A lot, from defective heat welding on the bottom. Again no big deal. I have a better collapsible bucket, same size (12 liters), made of PVC coated nylon. Got it from REI long time ago. I am leaving in a week, so I will take it and see how it works in the field. So, "Caveat Emptor!". Jerry
