If you got off your air-cooled state (pun intended) once in a while, you might realize that cargo containers are much too expensive to use for housing in the Philippines. Most usable containers are sent back stateside immediately filled w/ goods made at labor rates of $5 per day. These are current figures by the way. Lots of containers come back empty from the US to Asia. IIRC that is called in some circles as a trade deficit w/ Asia.

Not to be confused with the fellow from Manila who was describing a swimming pool. "See dat pool ober der... How deficit?" There only thing most Manilenyos say with the F sound is Filipino. Everything else sounds like a P. For that matter, there is no normal V. So you would call out favorite vehicle a Banagon (RVC).
