Subject: trans bolt replaced

Well, I finally got around to replacing the bottom engine stud that connects to the clutch housing and holds one side of the trans and engine together. For those of you who have not had to remove the trans on your leaker, there is a great tool sold by Harbor Freight. It is a transmission jack. It is on sale right now for $49.00 (regular $69.00). This is a screw jack setup that gets pretty low and gets up to the trans even with the rear end of the van on blocks (about 6 inches raised). The top of the jack tilts and there is a strap to hold the trans. Really works great.

William
