Now, is it remotely possible that any of the exhaust system components reach a temperature which exceeds this maximum? What is called for in this application is a deformed thread locknut. Just because RAlanen cannot source deformed thread locknuts in stainless does not make elastic locknuts any more suitable for the job at hand. A little bit of knowledge . . . George |
