Hey everybody, My headers are going. Where the pipe attaches to the 'manifold' part, it has separated at the weld and is leaking. Apparently, the pipe overlaps the manifold a bit, and the pipe is quiet until I hit the gas. Then the resulting pressure pushes it out and causes a good racket. I haven't called Peter yet, but I will. Has anyone else had this happen? And why did this last only 2 years? I want to hear any and all stories and solutions. I'm really ticked-off about the whole thing. I should have gone with the damn subaru. $4000 for a continued pain in the azz. Anyone have another source for SA parts? AAAARRRRGGGGh, this thing is driving me crazy. Now I am going to wrap duct tape around my skull so it won't explode. Bill Marshall 85 GL Tiico Bradenton FL |
