Hi all - I'm back with a problem after a gloriously long run of fine performance and I think I've had this problem before . . . The Details: 1988 Vanagon Westfalia, autotrans, a/c, 110,000 miles live in Charlotte NC - not cold here yet Van starts just fine, runs about 30-45 seconds normally and then begins to run with 'no power'- usually stalls if I slow down or go over neighborhood speed hump. It restarts right away, runs ok for 30 seconds and then begins 'no power' mode. This continues for ~5 minutes - basically until the engine warms up a little, then it's fine. In the 'no power' mode, I can sometimes coax it along if I play with the gas peddle - kind of like you would if you had an older car with an accelerator pump on the carburetor. I've had the local VW shop replace the idle stabilzer control and valve several years back. The air flow control meter is a new one with less than 10,000 miles on it. Looking for suggestions as to what I should try first. John Graham Charlotte NC 1988 Vanagon
