Just don't let them know what you're towing with it, if you're not renting a U-Haul truck...I had a F-150 with a tow package, rated for something like 7200 lbs, and they wouldn't rent it to me. As it turns out, it was half as much to rent a trailer from a local place for a week, than it was from Uhaul for two days. Just had to tell them I was hauling a Ford taurus, they were reluctant even then!

As it turns out, the trailer pulled great, even up and over Lizard Head pass in CO, none of the many patrolmen we passed along the way seemed to mind.

if anybody asks, the trailer never left the state....

cheers, jeff
