As usual, you're damn close to the mark. If one listens to shortwave or reads international papers a better view can be had. It's all about the boxes.

Soapbox, Ballotbox, Jury box, cartridge box, pine box.

It is impossible to wage a conventional war against a distributed enemy.

It is easy to wage a guerilla war against a centralized, supply dependent enemy.

"Kill 'em all, let god sort 'em out" is not a solution.

It's not about freedom this time, it's about ... Oil ... and after that ... water.
