Hello from Western NY where the Fall colors will be very enjoyable on the Transporter at the Glen #1 event this October 5 & 6.
Yes this is another shameless plug to remind everyone that you are all invited to come and camp at the Watkins Glen State Park and take a few laps around Watkins Glen racetrack with VW vans.
IF YOU WANT TO RUN YOUR VAN ON THE TRACK SUNDAY, YOU MUST SEND IN YOUR REGISTRATION FORM (AVAIL AT MY WEB SITE) BACK TO JOYCE CRISPINO BY SEPTEMBER 22.
THAT IS COMING UP!
NO ONE WILL BE ADMITED IF THEY ARE NOT PRE-REGISTERED. ONLY VW VEHICLES IS THE RULE.
I have added a couple of scans of the park brochures and the campsite locations.
I will be at campsite #76 both Friday and Saturday night. If you reserver a campsite you must stay 2 nights. If you wish to only camp on Saturday night, then it becomes a first-come-first serve at the camp grounds and the park ranger will let you stay in any open spots. There will be room for 2 vans at all of the Mohawk Village sites, with electricity. So if you want to just pair up that may be an option.

This event is in conjunction with the Finger Lakes Region VW Club (FLVWC) and the VW Association of Western NY (VWAWNY) and the annual "Lap & Lunch" event at Watkins Glen International Raceway.
The idea is to go and do a family campout at Watkins Glen State Park the day before. Discover the beautiful park on Saturday and caravan to the racetrack on Sunday.
If you choose to participate you can also see how fast your VW can go around the track ;-) If you plan to take your van on the track YOU MUST RETURN YOUR ENTRY FEE BY SEPTEMBER 22 to: Joyce Crispino 579 Dunnbridge Drive Webster, NY 14580
